Day 6: The First Day it Rained

Everyone here has been marveling at the wonderful weather that we have been having so I should have guessed that it wouldn't stay like that for long. However, we were able to make it most of the day with nice weather and so I wore my brand new Pomod dress. I had class again from 9h30 till 12h30 which is starting to seem longer and longer. After class and lunch we headed to the Musee d'Orsay which is just across la Seine from the Louvre and the other major monuments.  The only bad thing about the Musee dd'Orsay is that they don't allow any pictures! I even tried to break the rules like I did at the Haute couture exhibit and some old Asian woman vigilante yelled at me that it wasn't allowed. She told me that the sign said no pictures and wouldn't take no for an answer so unfortunately no pictures of famous paintings today. I did manage to get a picture of Paris from the big clock on the Museum's highest floor and a picture from the roof.
After we got out of the museum we walked from the Louvre to the opera and past all of the super rich person stores. We saw Harry Winston and Cartier and drooled at everything in the windows. The walk itself was beautiful and I would have loved pictures but of course that was when the rain started to pour and we picked up our pace and I couldn't take my phone out and snap pics.
I also bought a phone today to contact people in France so that I would not be without any means of communication when I was on my own in Paris. It's a beautiful red flip phone without a camera. It's all in French which is confusing and phone numbers are about 30 digits long. The lady at the phone store didn't even know what the rates were for international calling and messaging so nobody better try to send text messages to my new high tech french cell phone. Not the most glamorous means of communication but I figure it will do.
Anyways, I have a presentation to give tomorrow on Renoir's painting at the Moulin de Galettes so I am getting dinner with friends in the village and then I will probably tuck in early. Not a crazy exciting day but the Museum was amazing. I have also attached pictures that were at the museum so it's basically the same thing as when I take pictures except that they're a million times better.
