So today we road tripped to Loire Valley which meant missing Fete de la musique in Paris and there was a stage set up right outside our hotel. And the ride was about three and a half hours which was pretty brutal. But now we're here at the hotel.
We started our Loire Valley trip with a nice three course meal with bottomless bread and wine. The first course was salmon (?) which looked and tasted like cat food. NO exaggeration grossest thing I've ever tried to eat. I'm sure it was a delicacy and expensive and "delicious" but I've included a picture and it was basically fishy tofu. The next course was salmon also which was less disgusting but for a non seafood fan I was ready to throw up all over this nice restaurant at this point. For dessert we had an apple tart which was pretty good considering I was expecting salmon pudding.
When we went to our hotel rooms, or flats as they're called, we were shocked to find a spiral staircase leading up to an apartment three times the size of our Parisian apartments. That's all for today but hopefully the weather is nice so tomorrow me and my friend LIndsey who has been dying to be mentioned in the blog will get good pictures of the castles.
